Monolithics

Available in different formulations, densities, and installation methods to fit your specific demands, Morgan Thermal Ceramic
monolithics can be used as primary or secondary insulation, for repair, or for specialty applications.

Feature excellent thermal shock resistance, good strength and resistance to mechanical impact and molten metals, these products are available in three distinct varieties: insulating monolithics, dense monolithics, and special duty monolithics.
Depending on composition, water content, and other factors, they can be cast, gunned, rammed, poured, plastered, and (in some
compositions) pumped and shot-creted.

Insulating Monolithics
Morgan Thermal Ceramic insulating monolithics are lightweight and feature very low thermal conductivity, resulting in significant fuel savings, reduced need for support steelwork, and increased energy efficiency. They also feature easy installation due to their easy-flow characteristics, and provide time and materials savings through low-gunite rebound loss. In addition to being available in gunite versions, several of these monolithics can be installed by shot-creting or pumping.

Dense Monolithics
Engineered in formulations designed to meet specific property requirements of industrial furnace operators, these products are
economical, have good strength throughout their temperature ranges, and are available in both dual-use cast/gun and special
gunning formulations.

Special-Duty Monolithics
Designed for more critical applications, these products feature specifically enhanced properties that allow them to outperform
conventional monolithics. These high-technology materials include low-cement gunning and casting refractories, no-cement
monolithics, plastics for gunning and casting, and very high-alumina-content monolithics.

Enhanced properties, such as extra high strength and resistance to chemical attack and abrasion, provide long service life with low maintenance.
